Imprompt-3 was founded in December 2008. The current members were all neighbours back in NUS' Temasek Hall.
Their brand of music is a laid-back and therapeutic form of acoustic rock. The band does mostly covers and the occassional original song gets written and jammed.
In 2009, Imprompt-3 won a Treble of competitions: 1. NTU's Impresario (Vocal Group Champions) 2. NUS' Talentquest (Vocal Group Champions and Audience's Favourite Act) 3. NUS' Stardust (Band Category Champions) They hope to continue to bring awesome music to the masses. Following their competition succes, they started playing a numerous private and public events including, Switch On 2009 @ Orchard Central, Breaking New Ground 2010 @ Concourse Esplande, NUS Arts Festival 2010 and Timbre's Musicfest 2010 & Roktober! 2010, just to name a few.
